At the working spot we spend most of our time – every day, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, sometimes even more. Nowadays most of the companies have dress code and we have to watch what are we wearing. The company I worked for before didn’t have a dress code as we did not communicate with the clients directly. So they didn’t care what we are having on as long as the clothes are decent and clean. Everybody was wearing jeans, shirts, skirts, trendy tops. Sometimes we were too posh, sometimes too sporty, but we looked well dressed as a team.
Then I started working in a call center with a very strict dress code. I was looking around and couldn’t ask myself – why those beautiful girls look like old ladies? Strict dress code doesn’t mean we have to be dressed like our grandmothers. We can still look stylish and fashion. I would like to develop a whole section devoted to trendy clothes for work, that will still fit the dress code of the major companies.
I am thinking we need to include more dresses and skirts in our closets. Women always look trendy and sexy wearing a nice dress and hot boots instead of just black pants and some simple blouse. Plus a dress is so much easier to wear – it’s just one piece, you don’t need to wonder what to combine it with or if it’s going to fit the color. A dress under the knees that is not showing the shoulders or much of the back, like the ones in the pictures below, will always fit the strict code.

Another trendy outfit for work could be cutie skirt around the knees and I am not talking about straight business skirt, but something more girlie. Could be decorated with a picture or some stripes. And then this combined with a colourful shirt and a nice jacket will make you look sweet and at the same time will be suitable for work. Even if you are not in a mood to wear colored trendy clothes, you can always put on the first two things you see in your closet, but don’t forget at least some accessories like earings, necklace, cute diadem. They will always make a difference to your outfit.

Don’t think I only wear dresses and skirts, I am a huge fan of the pants and jeans, but when I am buying work clothing I try to avoid the black pants. They are so boring. If you feel comfortable only wearing pants at work, try to pick some fresh colours or grey and dark blue instead of black. The work tops also can be fresh and trendy, it’s not necessary to wear one-colour simple blouses. A beautiful shirt can make us look really stylish. And use accessories – belts, necklaces, earrings, glasses, rings, scarfs. Pick them in the matching colors and see how are they going to make a difference. Who said we have to be boring and dressed like old ladies at work? Of course, we can look sexy and stylish at the same time, if we pick up the right set of trendy clothes, hot shoes and fashion accessories
