This post will be devoted to all ladies who like to shop trendy and affordable clothes online. That’s my one and only way of shopping. As I mentioned few times already I don’t care about the label, the brand or the designer as long as the dress is nice, trendy and sexy. The most important is your own style and if YOU look and feel good wearing that piece, not what’s the tag on the back. So, for all of you, who just like me love the best deals online and prefer to buy on sale than to spend crazy money on the new arrivals, I will try to come up with the top 5 tips on how to find trendy and affordable women’s clothes and accessories online.
1. Sign up for the best online offers:
Few posts ago we talked about the top 5 trendy and affordable boutiques online. If you agree with my choices for the best online stores, you can sign up for their special deals and sale information. This way you will be the first to receive special discounts and promotions, VIP coupons and items on clearance. They also send information on new arrivals, coming trends and big sales. If you don’t want your regular e-mail address to be spammed all the time, you can make a separate e-mail, exactly for that purpose and be on top of all sales and good deals. As mush as fashion blogs try to keep you updated on what’s today’s best offer, it’s always good to be among the first getting the good news
2. Let me introduce you to the Google Reader:
Probably most of you know about this great service google provides, but for those who has never heard of it – it’s another easy and fast way to find trendy and affordable deals online. At least it works perfectly for me. I signed up few months ago, then added my favourite fashion blogs and online stores in there and every day it takes me 10 minutes to check it out and be updated with the best offers. Once you subscribe to all your favourite fashion sites, they will appear as a list menu on your left side of the Google Reader. Then you go one by one on the list and in the main screen you can read their new posts. Without visiting every site, you can have all the information from your favourite blogs in just one page. And then, when you really like something and want to visit the actual post, you click on it and it takes you right there. No hassle or waist of time. It’s really easy and useful. In case you don’t know that many blogs or want to add more to your Google Reader profile, let me tell you something – google also has a blog search – yhea!
3. Friday reviews on trendy and affordable online deals:
Most fashion blogs instead of writing an article on Fridays, they publish all the deals they got from the subscriptions with their favourite online stores. So that’s another way of being informed on the coming sales and promotions. Just keep an eye on the fashion blogs on Friday and check out very carefully the lists of coupons and sale items. Also make sure to notice when exactly the promotion will expire as some online stores have deals only for the weekend or one day sales. This means we don’t have much time to take advantage of the best offers.
4. Online sample sales of discounted designers clothes:
I’ve recently started to explore this niche. So far nothing interesting, but let me tell you about it. This 4th tip is only for people crazy about designers fashion, tags and brands. Having this in mind, don’t expect something super cheap, although the discounts are amazing – most of the time up to 80%-90%. So there are those websites which are for members only and they organize sales on top designers fashions. They send an e-mail informing their members an event is coming and when exactly it’s going to start. You can visit the sale prior to its beginning, but you can’t purchase. Usually one event only lasts for few hours to maximum 2 days or while the supplies last. I signed at two of the best sites – Gilt Groupe and Idelli. The same day I received e-mails for events and by the time I had a chance to check them, almost everything was sold out! Honestly this kind of shopping is not for me. But if you are all about designers shopping, you can try, it’s a lot of fun. Clicking on this Idelli link should allow you to enter the site, register and start receiving news for the upcoming events. Same story with Gilt – click here and start saving hundreds of dollars on all kind of designers clothes, accessories and shoes. If you are not happy with those two, you can try HauteLook, but I heard there is a huge waiting list for them. Also Editor’s Closet, Woot and Gomatta Girls. Let me know what do you think of this online sample sale stores once you try them out.
